For Students

We believe in the power of “prevention versus intervention,” there is never a way to prevent dyslexia but if you intervene now you can prevent the social and emotional stress that evolves over time. The Dyslexia School of Houston is the first good instruction that focuses on decoding literacy through innovative and structural literacy. We take pride in each and every one of our students. Everyone has their civil right to be literate regardless of their learning style.

A typical day for a student at Dyslexia School of Houston is split into three decks: a spelling deck, a reading deck and a writing deck. There is no homework! All learning and practices are done at school and if students choose to read for fun or at home, that’s 100% up to them.

There are three options to choose from while attending Dyslexia School of Houston, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM or 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday OR students can choose to attend after-school tutorials (A one-hour session 4x a week). Students stay with us for however long it takes to successfully complete our program, but we are here to support our students and their families even after their time at Dyslexia School of Houston. The majority of our students “age out” after second grade, in which we love to see them flourish at other private and public schools in the area! Contact us today to learn more.
